Dyson’s AM04 Hot + Cool™ heater fan provides the fastest whole room heating in winter and smooth, cool air in summer. With the use of patented Air Multiplier™ technology, surrounding air is drawn in and amplified, generating powerful airflow to cool you effectively in summer. In winter, drawn-in air is heated over PTC ceramic plates before being projected forward, providing direct heat throughout the room. Safety features include tip-over automatic cut out and no visible heating elements. No awkward grilles or blades also make It easy to clean. The AM04 provides total control – with a remote control for precise temperature and airflow adjustment, oscillation and touch-tilt. Remote is curved and magnetized to store neatly on the machine when not in use. The target temperature can be selected to the degree (between 32°F to 99°F) and the intelligent thermostat keeps it there. The Dyson Hot +Cool ™ fan heater oscillates smoothly to distribute heat evenly across the whole room. It also pivots on its own centre of gravity, staying put without having to be clamped, directing airflow where you want it for personal heating or cooling. This product works and works well. We have a large second floor bedroom that gets cooler in the winter than the other areas of the house. We have already had temps of 38 at night and by setting this heater at 72 with the swivel turned on and tilted up - warms the room very quickly and then stops while the thermostat waits for the temp to drop. So I do not have to adjust the furnace to compensate for this bedroom. The remote control is extremely simple to use and the read-outs on the front are clear and easily readable. At first glance the quality looked good, fit and finish were tight and it looked good on the surface. Sitting down, I kicked back and prepared to enjoy reading the manual....that was short lived as it had lots of information on warranty and legal guck and only the most basic of operation information with absolutely no information showing specifications, no power use...no Heat output....nothing Moving on I plugged it into the power use tester to see how much power it would consume and in return how much heat it put out at 12 inches away.
