None of them had a thermostat that would go to the set temperature the second time. (A thermostat, once set, should heat to about the same temperature every time.) Because a reviewer said the thermostat on this unit was good, I purchased one. The room to heat was my bathroom, about 80 sq ft, no windows, door closed, interior location away from outer walls. It took a LOT of patience to arrive at the initial preferred setting--80 degrees after turned on about one hour. After that, the second time the unit was turned on for an hour, temps ranged from 72 degrees to 90 (it might have gone higher had I not shut it off.) An obliging local retailer allowed me to try four units in turn. None had a better thermostat. I suspect the different Chinese heater manufacturers source the same thermostats. I rate it one star because space heaters without thermostats are available for less, and it is very noisy. (Please don't tell me how... Read more |
